Bina Marga to Connect Jakarta Roads in 10 Locations

The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is set to carry out road connections to parse traffic jams in Jakarta this year.

Based on the inventory results, there are 10 locations whose roads will be connected in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta areas.

Currently, four of these roads are in the process of land acquisition. They are Jalan Waru, Jalan Seno - Masjid Al Makmur, Bangun Cipta Sarana passageway, and access road to Rawa Bebek Flat.

Bina Marga Agency Head, Hari Nugroho said the plot area to be acquired would vary depending on the need for road connection at each location. The construction process can start immediately because not all locations require land acquisition.

“There are two to three fields, varied. If it is free, construction will immediately begin,” he expressed, Thursday (1/5).

He was optimistic that the road connection could minimize congestion in Jakarta by up to 30 percent considering the road capacity will be increased by widening it to accommodate vehicles.

"The road capacity is widened, automatically there will be no accumulation of vehicles," he stated.

1. Air Maya Passageway, Kebayoran Lama

2. Passageway to Pulo Gebang Flat - Jalan Sejajar Tol

3. Passageway to Kelapa Gading Timur - Pulogadung Terminal

4. Passageway to Boulevard - Pegangsaan Dua

5. Passageway to KH Mas Mansyur - Sudirman

6. Passageway to Dr Satrio - Perbanas

7. Jalan Waru

8. Jalan Seno - Al Makmur Mosque

9. Bangun Cipta Sarana (Passageway to Kelapa Gading Flat - Boulevard Kelapa Gading)

10. Access Road to Rawa Bebek Flat
